Dak Notestine serves as the Director of Performance for Black Sheep Performance. Coach Notestine has worked in the strength and conditioning/human performance industry for 14 years.
Notestine recently served as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Ohio University (2017-2020) where he oversaw the programming and training of the entire football team, women’s soccer team, women’s softball team, and led the intern development program.
In his time at Ohio University Notestine worked with numerous teams including baseball, cheerleading, men’s and women’s golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, and volleyball. He also taught a graduate level sports performance class while in Athens.
Dak received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University in 2010 and was a member of the football team. He started his playing career as a walk-on, and worked his way to a starting position at defensive end and was voted as a team captain in his senior campaign.
He holds a Master of Science Degree in Recreation and Sport Sciences with a special emphasis on Coaching Education and Strength Conditioning from Ohio University. He is a Strength and Conditioning Specialist who has been certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Notestine is also a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.
